# How we rank UI/UX design agencies

We score every agency on one 100-point rubric. Each list is scored on its own, so fintech fit is judged only on fintech evidence. Scores are re-run every quarter. Sponsorship is worth zero points, and no agency can pay to change its place.

**Current status: first scored run in progress**

We are scoring all 20 agencies against this rubric now. Until the results are published in Q4 2026, our lists show an editorial order and every agency carries a "Scoring Q4" label. No list shows rank numbers before then.

The rubric

## Five criteria, 100 points

Each criterion lists the evidence we accept and the evidence we don't. If we can't link to it, it doesn't count.

**30** Shipped work **20** Facet fit **20** Independent proof **15** UX depth **15** Buyer experience

30points

### Shipped work quality

The biggest share goes to work you can see in the world. We sign up for, download or visit the products in an agency's case studies and judge them as a user would: clarity, consistency, how errors are handled and how the product feels on a phone.

#### We accept

- Live products we can use
- App store listings linked from the case study
- Public websites still running the agency's design

#### We don't accept

- Dribbble or Behance shots with no live product
- Concept work for brands that were never clients

20points

### Facet fit

An agency that leads overall may not lead for fintech or for Berlin. For each list, we only count case studies and clients in that industry, product type or location. This is why the same agency can sit in different places on different lists.

#### We accept

- Case studies in the facet with a named client
- Offices or team members in the location, shown on the agency's site

#### We don't accept

- Industry pages with no case studies behind them
- Unnamed clients ("a leading bank")

20points

### Independent proof

Proof that someone other than the agency vouches for the work. We link to every source and never copy review text onto our pages.

#### We accept

- Clutch, G2 and Google review pages
- Design awards with a public winners list
- Press coverage from named publications

#### We don't accept

- Testimonials on the agency's own site we can't verify
- Paid "best agency" badges

15points

### UX depth

Good UI sits on research, structure and access for everyone. We look for evidence of that work inside case studies, not only the final screens.

#### We accept

- Research methods and findings shown in case studies
- Information architecture and flow work
- Accessibility testing or standards named

#### We don't accept

- Process diagrams with no project behind them

15points

### Buyer experience

What it is like to hire the agency. Clear pricing and a fast, useful reply count, and so do outcomes that clients describe in public reviews.

#### We accept

- Published pricing or budget ranges
- Response time to a test enquiry
- Outcomes described in independent reviews

#### We don't accept

- Response promises we can't test

Where the data comes from

## We link. We don't copy.

Every fact on a listing points to one of these sources. Review text stays on the review site.

**Agency websites**

Case studies, team, offices and any published pricing.

**Live products**

The apps and sites in case studies, used as a customer would.

**Review sites**

Clutch, G2 and Google. We show Clutch ratings with a link.

**Press**

Coverage and awards from named publications and juries.

## How a list qualifies

A list only goes live when at least 8 agencies show evidence for it. For an industry, that means case studies in that industry. For a location, it means a real office or team there. Until a list qualifies, nothing on the site links to it.

## How agencies can respond

- **Update facts.** [Claim your profile](https://globaluxagency.com/for-agencies/) and correct anything out of date.
- **Add evidence.** Send case-study links for any facet you work in. We check them before the next run.
- **Request a correction.** Email us with the page link and a source. See [Contact](https://globaluxagency.com/contact/).
